Our Meetings

Generally, meetings for the Tampa Chapter are held on the second Saturday of each month, September to May, at the Joyner Community Library, 13619 N 22nd Street, Tampa, 33619

 

The meeting room opens at 11:00am for social time and set up prior to the meeting.  The business meeting begins at 11:30am followed by the program.

 

Wives, family, guests, and visiting members are always welcome.

 

 

Some Specifics

May 9th Ms. Sarah Botstein, is an American documentary film producer. She works with award winner Mr. Ken Burns and helped directed the six-part PBS minisries The American Revolution that was released November 2025 on PBS. She will be discussing the series virtually and answering your questions.

 

September 12th Tampa Chapter Compatriot David Whipkey will be speaking in person on “Why Did they Come to the Colonies, Why Did they Leave Their Homelands?” The reason why migration took place. He will be discussing several of his ancestors that came to America from 1730s to 1750s.

 

October 10th Mr. Steven W. Hill, will be presenting virtually his book “Battle Flags of the Wars for North America, 1754-1783”. His discussion will cover the regimental flags of the major combatants in the two major wars for North American in the eighteenth century—flags carried by regiments from Britain, France, Germany, and Spain. This has long been a subject surrounded by myth, legend, and inaccuracy; the last “standard” work is more than forty years old. You can purchase his book from Amazon.

 

November 14th Our guest speaker will be Mr. Donald Gunn in person who will be discussing Patriot Patrick Henry.
